Is It Really Impossible to Be Everywhere at Once?
How many times have you felt like you were being intensely pushed and pulled in every direction possible? You know that “I can’t do it all” stressful throbbing headache that’s inevitable when things get hectic… I can hear you shouting right now, “I can’t be everywhere at once!”
Well, I’ve got some great news! Thanks to a fantastic revelation (It’s a discovery to me anyway) from The Future of Real Estate Technology blog, life is about to get just a little bit easier. That is, at least for those of us who are web warriors.
Here’s the scoop – We all know Google spiders and indexes millions and millions of sites around the web every day. Using the Google Alerts module, you can effectively begin monitoring the web for just about anything you want.
The Future of Real Estate Technology’s post by its very namesake, “How to Monitor the Internet when Your Name is Mentioned” gives step by step directions to use the feature to track and be alerted each and every time your name is mentioned on the web, either comprehensively or just in the places you tell it to keep track of.
This is a great way to monitor and be able to respond to praise or criticisms in a timely manner to help build and manage your reputation (otherwise known as your brand, if you will). However, there are practically endless uses for ingenious service.
- Use it to keep up to date with what your competitors are doing.
- Use it help find new targeted clients.
- Use it to save time and let you know exactly when your favorite blog has been updated.
Heck, the list of potential uses really goes on and on. I’ll let you brainstorm the scores of time saving ideas that will work for you. Go ahead and check it out – it’s a nifty sound concept with tons of potential. I found it well worth my time and I think you will too.
With Google Alerts, you can finally be (almost) everywhere at once!
