Incorporating iPhone with Real Estate in 4 Steps
The iPhone is going to be revolutionary, just like the iPod was several years ago. People, at the time, likely had no idea of what was happening until the full impact of the iPod and mobile music had already gone full cycle.
The iPod went from a geeky gadget to full-fledged mainstream madness, all while skipping the stages in between. The iPhone looks like it will follow the same exact path. After all, it did sell upwards of 500,000 units in the first weekend of sales.
This quote from 1000watt Blog says it all:
"Mark my words, one day, people will be in their cycle class surfing homes for sale on their iPhone and texting their agent. Or not. It's up to you to create your future."
So, how can you be part of the smartphone revolution? (yes, smartphone – iPhone’s competitors should be taken seriously too!)
Optimize for iPhone.
This means tweaking your online presence to be compatible with iPhone’s Safari browser. Or for that matter, launching a mobile version of your site specifically tweaked to perform and display perfectly on mobile devices.
Integrate iTunes.
Now is the time to get your vodcasts (video podcasts) put together and made available in iTunes for subscription. You’ll probably be the first in your market to promote listings via vodcasts that are viewable with the iPhone.
Customers in your market will simply be able to subscribe to your video feed and receive targeted new listings on their iPhone just as soon as you’ve produced and uploaded them. Be the first and you can dominate this niche for years to come. It looks to be a sure thing!
Connect to YouTube.
Already listing your properties on YouTube? No problem, the iPhone connects. Your YouTube videos are available to the gadget’s users practically everywhere. Make it easy to find them by creating a simple mobile friendly webpage linking to each of your videos by category.
Go with Google Maps.
Put the properties you want to show on a Google map. iPhone is set up to work perfectly with Google Maps. You can create your own map with the data and info points of your choosing with just a little effort. Or, if nothing else, have Google Maps links on each of your listing’s web pages so iPhone users can quickly find directions to a property they’d like to see, all while on the go.
