Happy Thanksgiving to All!
It’s Thanksgiving tomorrow. Yes the big Turkey Day seems to be earlier this year than ever. Of course, that’s really just another way of saying, “Where in the heck did this year go?”
Not only are we celebrating our annual ritual of Thanksgiving, but traditionally it’s also the big kick off for the rest of the year’s seemingly ongoing holiday season – the big Christmas parade on TV, black Friday shopping madness, the whole shebang.
But here’s the thing. Have you noticed that people are starting to celebrate the Christmas season almost the day after Halloween nowadays? It’s certainly proving to be the case in my community.
People take down their Halloween decorations and put up their Christmas lights outside all at the same time like it’s a pre orchestrated holiday swap or something. Seasons are still cherished, but there are just not boundaries anymore.
My point? Things change. People’s patterns change. Premonitions change. Everything changes.
Real estate will change too. It’ll get better. It will decline. Mortgage rates will be attractive and then they’ll climb sky high. Buyers will choose to search for homes in the winter instead of the spring. Patterns come and go – it’s all part of the business.
I’m determined that continued success means to keep moving forward and go with the flow. Don’t be so stuck in old ways that it’s impossible to even acknowledge change for better or for worse, yet alone be able to adapt and embrace. Of course, don’t totally sell out your beliefs either.
Oh yeah, and along the way, don’t forget to be thankful. Look deep, each and every one of us has something to be truly thankful and appreciative of. Appreciate and celebrate that fact.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
