Are You Familiar With Strut Your Hut?
In the vast world of online real estate tools that have popped up as a contributing part of the whole Web 2.0 world, it’s fun to stumble across something new… something a bit different than the rest of the tight knit pack. This is exactly how I felt when I first ran across Strut Your Hut. It’s something different – just not like all of the other real estate listing sites.
So what’s so unique? Well first things first, Strut your hut is not only intended to be used by all levels of users, from buyers to sellers, renters to gawkers, it’s a great place to advertise yourself as a buyer or your home or rental to prospective buyers and tenants. It really covers it all.
Now I know one of the primary goals for all small business, but especially for online businesses is having a targeted unique selling proposition (USP) and being something to everyone doesn’t quite fit that definition. Well, Strut Your Hut compensates by offering value added options.
For example, they allow their users to consolidate any videos of the property they might have, as well as organize property relevant photos. Of course the community features are creative too. One particular aspect I like is the focus on green – community users can easily add their comments and suggestions to help other site members make green improvements to their properties.
But above all the other features, my favorite has got to be the way Strut Your Hut allows users to gather properties from across the web and compare them all in one central and convenient place. Even better, it’s all free with registration.
The folks at Strut Your Hut are definitely on to something – they’re doing something familiar, but doing it with their very own spin. I guess if there’s any downfall, it’s that the site doesn’t necessarily have a very widespread reach yet. Give it a try for yourself and browse around a bit. I think you’ll probably like what you see!
