I would have a hard time imagining any situation where it would be ill advised to further educate ourselves on the topics we’re most interested in (and maybe even a few topics that we’re not so keen about also).  Lucky for those of us with a vested interest in the field of real estate, there are practically an unlimited number of resources to continue our quest of learning.

One of my favorite ways to absorb myself in subject these days is by listening to informative and entertaining podcasts.  If you’re not yet familiar with the world of Podcasting, you’ll be thrilled when you find out just what’s out there.  Don’t worry, you don’t need a fancy portable device or iPod to listen – You can actually listen with free iTunes software right on your computer.

Here are my 7 favorite (and all free) real estate Podcasts:

1. 10 Real Estate Marketing Ideas In 10 Minutes – Some episodes run over 10 minutes, but for those looking to take their real estate ventures to the next level, this is a weekly must listen.  I can’t begin to tell you how many great ideas this Podcast has inspired for me.
2. The Real Estate Guys – You might have heard this one before on traditional radio, but either way, it’s a weekly hour of expert real estate education from people you can trust.
3. Get Real Real Estate Investing – This Podcast caters especially to the investment end of the real estate spectrum, covering all of the typical and lots of not so typical investment concepts.  Between expert interviews and informative Q&A sessions, this show’s always a crowd pleaser.
4. Real Estate – Master Real Estate Course – Don’t be afraid of this one just because it revolves around an investment system.  The ideas are great and the education worthwhile.
5. Real Life Real Estate Investing – Another Podcast specifically focusing on investing, this show is highly informative and a great option for those who are just getting started.
6. The Accidental Creative – While this isn’t really real estate centered, it is indeed an excellent way to help you understand your own unique voice.  For agents and brokers out there, keeping a fresh mind and thinking outside the box are great ways to keep the sales rolling in.  This show will help.
7. APM: Marketplace – Stay up to date on the economy and the business news you need to understand to effectively compete.  Real estate, in the end, is always affected by the economy.

So while you may not identify with each and every one of these Podcasts, each one does indeed offer a different perspective on a realm of interest that strikes home for all of us real estate fanatics.  Obviously, none of us have the time to stay up to date with all of these, but pick and choose your favorites and at least hit the highlights every now and then.  You’ll thank yourself later.  Happy listening!
