11 Must Read Daily Real Estate Blogs
Believe me when I say there’s a ton of excellent mortgage and real estate blogs out there – way too many to list, in fact. But for a unique spin on the market as well as perspective that makes sense to anyone interested in real estate anywhere, there are some blogs that really are masters of their niche. Here are 11 real estate blogs that I would most certainly rate as daily must reads without any hesitation at all…
1. The Phoenix Real Estate Guy
Jay at the Phoenix Real Estate Guy blog is sort of like the local guy that’s read nationwide. Covers the Phoenix real estate market with ease, but introduces great unique ideas, concepts, and perspective on the big picture at the same time while remaining friendly and personable. A really easy favorite.
I’m a big fan of Pat Kitano’s Transparent Real Estate Blog. Pat tackles one concept at a time with an impeccable level of technical detail through completely unique analysis. With new posts usually every couple of days or so, I look forward to reading a different take on current industry issues.
Marc Davison and Brian Boero of 1000Watt Consulting always have something interesting to read on their real estate blog. I’m particularly impressed with how they seem to have a knack for bringing enlightenment to a topic that is often a blur of stats and mundane facts.
It ain’t over ‘til the bald guy talks. Okay, sorry that was pretty lame. But one thing that’s not lame is this blog. Revolves around real estate investing while knowledgeably venturing deeper into economics and other relevant real estate issues. But what’s best is that it’s readable and different from the pack.
5. REagent in Connecticut Blog
I really love this blog for its ongoing Bad MLS Photo of the Day feature posts. The amateurish photos dug up by this blog remind me over and over that it’s not that hard to be better than the completion by just being competent. Of course, RE Agent in CT also shares plenty of great advice on improving real estate photography too.
6. The Future of Real Estate Marketing
Another one of the real estate blogs that I not only look forward to reading but also look up to. The Future of Real Estate Marketing is often the first to cover the latest happenings with detail, especially when it comes to real estate and marketing via the internet. This blog seems to cover a different angle than other peers in the niche. That’s a good thing!
GeekEstate is awesome for its superstar lineup of expert bloggers. It’s a great place to visit to see what the pros have to say about real estate not only from a different perspective, but also about anything and everything real estate that could possible matter. Entertaining and informative always.
8. The Future of Real Estate Technology
First of all, I’m compelled to mention I’m a major tech geek. I love trying out all of the latest gadgets just for fun. But at the Future of Real Estate Technology blog, they pay serious mind to actually applying the latest tech developments to the real world of real estate. By the way, real estate is more and more influenced by technology each and every day if you hadn’t noticed.
Now I know this blog is known for getting a little crazy and off the wall, but that’s what makes it a favorite! Definitely about as eclectic as they come while still sticking to a central overall theme and artfully delivering its own spin at the same time. You never know what you’ll see next here. Love it.
10. HOME STAGING, Rants & Ravings
I’ve never made my appreciation for this fine home staging blog a secret. Craig Shiller’s keen eye for what works with home staging is irrefutable. There are stagers and then there are stagers. Needless to say, Craig is the latter (and more brilliant) stager, making his blog a must read.
11. BloodhoundBlog
A several times a day must read for any real estate or mortgage professional. Features several daily pieces by a growing handful of the real estate blogosphere’s very own rockstars. In reality, all of the contributors to BloodhoundBlog are insightful and obviously successful at what they do. Although it can be a little in depth, there’s a lot to learn here.
